Track: Napalm Death – Call that an option, plus album and tour news

Grindcore pioneers Napalm Death have released a second glimspe of their forthcoming album ‘Coded Smears and Uncommon Slurs’ following on from Oh So Pseudo which we wrote about a couple of weeks ago. The album is out via Century Media on 30th March, on 2CD, 2LP and digital download, and includes a total of 31 songs in a playing time of over 90 minutes, compiling rarities and exclusive tracks spanning 2004-2016.

Call that an option is another huge slab of grindcore from the band, complete with machine-gun drumming, huge angular riffs and jabbing, barked vocals. Check it out, here

The 2LP edition of “Coded Smears And More Uncommon Slurs” will not only contain a poster and an LP-booklet, but will – next to an unlimited black vinyl version – also be available in the following limited coloured vinyl runs: 100x copies white vinyl (CM Webshop Europe), 200x copies neon orange vinyl (CM USA), 200x copies silver vinyl (NBR) and 400x copies red vinyl (CM Distro).

Commenting about being added to Slayer’s North American dates, the band commented: “Napalm Death are very excited to be part of the second leg of Slayer’s farewell tour! Having been a fan since back in the day, I never would have thought when I bought the import copy of “Show No Mercy” that playing Grindcore would catapult us into this universe.
