Despite the fact their inception was way back in the 80s, Canadian thrashers Aggression are still active, and making new music. Following on from 2015’s Fractured Psyche Demons, the band return with a new record – Fragmented Spirit Devils, due in October. The record features nine new tracks, along with a cover of Nazareth’s Razamanaz, including guitar solo from Nazareth’s own Manny Cahrelton.
The first glimpse of the new record comes in the shape of a new track, Unleashing the Ghost. Right in your face from the off, in the experienced hands of the band, its pulsating thrash metal out of the top drawer. Weird guitar riffs break out between the lines, speeds shift, and the vocals sway from the gutteral to the squealing with ease. Consider our boat floated.
