Track: Ceiling Demons – Stones

We’ve long been fans of Ceiling Demons, which was only strengthened after they recorded an exclusive session for us last year. Now their back with an experimental tape on Frux Tapes, titled Belly of the Hopeless and from it they’ve released a new track, Stones. Its been produced by Bristol born producer Jonathan Swift, who brings a touch of trip hop to the demons left-field hip-hop.

Swift lays down these eerie atmospheric beats, the repeating organ shards making things sound rather uneasy, as over the top the demons, as always wearing their Northern accents firmly on their sleeves, almost freestyle – throwing out images and concepts over these wispy, almost whispered backing vocals.
