Track: Frankie & The Heartstrings – Save it for Tonight, plus new album news

Frankie & The Heartstrings return following their much lauded 2013 album ‘The Days Run Away’ with their third long player, Decency – which comes out on 10th July via the Pop Sex imprint. Recorded at the back end of last summer in Leeds with (you guessed it) Hookworms MJ at the helm, Decency also sees Futurehead Ross Millard on extra-curricular duty with guitar and vocal artistry making his recording debut as a fully-fledged Heartstring.

The band have released the first glimpse of whats to come by releasing ‘Save it For Tonight’. As usual with those heartstring boys, there’s wiry (or is that wire-ey) guitars, and this driving drumming, as it rollocks along (thats probably not even a recognised description, but lets go with it) with Frankie at the fore, setting down rather a winner of a tune. Its part indie pop, part c86 part motown, but crucially, all gold.

Meanwhile, Frankie & The Heartstrings embark on their first major shows of 2015 with shows throughout May …
