Track: The Districts – 4th & Roebling, plus Spring tour dates

Out on February 9th next year through Fat Possum Records is the new album from Pennsylvania quartet The Districts, titled ‘A flourish ans a spoil’. It’s a follow on from their debut self-titled EP which appeared at the beginning of the year, and it’s been produced by John Congleton (The Walkmen, St Vincent) From it, the band have debuted a new single 4th & Roebling. It trips along from its rippling outset, the guitars gradually unfurling, and the track having this bluesy, hinting at garage feel about it. The warm melodic nature of the chorus, with its edgier guitars is the point where it becomes more than just a standard song, and becomes something you can really fall in love with.

In addition the band have also announced a Spring European tour, which fits nicely around their previously arranged London date at the 100 club for the NME Awards Show on February 3rd. Tickets are on sale now

In addition to their previously announced London date at the 100 Club (NME Awards Show) on 3rd February, the band now play dates either side of it in both Paris and Berlin. They will then follow the release of their forthcoming album ‘A Flourish And A Spoil’ with further European shows in April.
