Track: The Echo Session – But I’m Scared

Glasgow four piece The Echo Session can’t be accused of rushing into things. A mere seven years since their highly regarded debut single ‘Tell Me’, and they’re back with a new record, But I’m Scared, out on the Flowers in the Dustbin label on August 12th.

If you remember Tell Me with affection, you’ll be pleased to hear that the band still have that ability to write lilting, melodic and slightly quirky, a la Kinks pop music. It’s full of DIY spirit and vocal harmonies drape themselves over the melody. It could have been written any time from about 1967 onwards, such is its attention to classic songwriting.
