News: Boxcutter announces rare live performance – WIN TICKETS!

Northern-Irish producer Boxcutter has been tastemaking and releasing music for over 15 years on labels such as Hotflush and Planet Mu, yet still skirts around the edge of public conciousness, although revered by fans of his music. Maybe that’s because through the formative years of what is now known as dubstep, Boxcutter sat firmly on the leftfield of the pack, creating ethereal, cosmic sounds that have aged altogether better than most contemporaries. From his enormously well received 2005 “Oneric” LP, the project evolved to incorporate more influences, including the frenetic rhythms of Chicago’s footwork scene as well as more relaxed synth-funk rhythms, coming closer to the work of producers like Dâm-Funk.

He’s just announced a rare performance featuring live drumming, exclusively at Archspace in London on Friday 31st of March, and courtesy of Soundcrash, we’ve got a the couple of tickets to give away. Simply follow us and retweet the tweet or share the facebook post from our socials and we’ll contact the lucky winner in plenty of time.

He’s promising that the show will encompasses the best of old as well as brand new compositions, realised with live drums to bring the full force and complexity of the Boxcutter sound to life.
