Paolo Nutini is giving an early festive gift to fans that missed out on tickets to his Hogmanay show, by announcing he will play a ‘Night Afore Concert’ on Friday 30 December.

Organisers today announced that, due to overwhelming demand, Nutini will take to the stage in West Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh the night before Hogmanay. This is a first in the festival’s history but, with the Concert in the Gardens on 31 December selling out in a record three hours and thousands of fans missing out on a rare live performance by Nutini, it seems like a great opportunity to get the party started early.

“I said I was up for it and I hope that we get to play to as many as we can that weekend” Nutini commented. “It will be a time to make some music, have a dance and celebrate a lot of good that’s been done this year and hopefully celebrate a lot of shite being resigned to the past.”

If you want to celebrate with him, tickets for the ‘Night Afore Concert with Paolo Nutini’ will go on-sale on Friday 21 October at 10.00am via edinburghshogmanay.com.
