News: Slam Dunk Festival Announce Enter Shikari As 2017 Headliner

Following its 10th year celebrations earlier this year, Slam Dunk Festival has now announced its headliner for next year’s festival! In 2017, this feat will be undertaken by none other than Enter Shikari, who will be celebrating the ten year anniversary of their debut album Take To The Skies when they headline!

“Slam Dunk is a festival that we’ve been attending from the very start! It’s grown into one of the most important festivals in alternative music, and it will be an absolute honour to headline it in 2017,” says vocalist Rou Reynolds, excited to relive tracks the band haven’t played in years, and bring them to far bigger stages than they could have ever imagined back when they were recording their debut.

As well as announcing their headliner, the Slam Dunk also released details of some of the changes that will be made to the festival, namely the addition of Leeds’ First Direct Arena as one of the stages for the North date. One of the main ideas behind this is to add another main wristband exchange (as well as some smaller ones), which will reduce queues and allow more room in each venue, amongst others.

Tickets for Slam Dunk 2017 are on sale now- the festival is 14+, however all after parties will be strictly 18+
