PREMIERE: Watch: Faux Machismo – Shake The Bones

Leeds’ stoner/witch/doom/grunge duo Faux Machismo are a few days away from the release of their debut EP and have released a new single by virtue of their debut video, premiering today on the website.

“Shake The Bones” follows on from the two-pieces’ dirgy first single, “Sink“, and is another filthy, downbeat track that sits between being stoner rock, doom pop and shoegaze.

Created by drummer Anna Ridley. the video interweaves footage of the band in their practice space with scenes of nature at its most unsettling. The opening of the video almost fees like a nod to Sam Raimi’s classic Evil Dead 2, with whatever force in the woods being conjured by the unnerving sounds created by Faux Machismo.

The band’s label, MUZAI Records, has announced a limited number of cassette tapes of the EP. Or in their words a micro pressing of 50, for sale at their upcoming shows and through the labels’ store. The band have an upcoming date in Leeds but are looking to reveal more dates throughout 2019.

May 23rd 2019 – Leeds, CHUNK (supporting Overwhelmed and Beige Palace)

“EP” is released May 24th digitally and on cassette tape.
