Say Psych: Live, Cult of Dom Keller, Liverpool PsychFest, 26/09/15

Cult of Dom Keller has been a favourite of mine for some years now. Two cracking albums and a series of enthralling live performances mean that I try to see the band whenever I get the chance. So I was really pleased to hear that they were Cardinal Fuzz Sonic Attack stage, and they did not disappoint. Playing a typically dark and intense set (something I have tried to replicate with the photos below) which mixed established favourites such as ‘Swamp Heron’ and ‘Nowhere to Land’ with tracks of their third album, to be released next year, which fitted well into the set and sounded a little less dark.

I note that CODK are playing live with the Night Beats early next year, in the UK at least; good gigs in January are always at a premium so this should be one tour to catch.
