Say Psych: Introducing: Cruel Experience

Cruel Experience are a four piece from Florence, Italy who have marked themselves apart from the crowd by drawing a path through a richly faceted musical universe, whilst maintaining the attitude of a band that wants to make music by choosing to stand on its own feet. They released their debut LP Lives of Ugly Demons (L.O.U.D.) in March and this week have released the third single taken from it, ‘L.O.U.D.’

L.O.U.D. experiments and harmonises every nuance of several extremes, compressing two decades of music history in a record that is first and foremost their own quest for human and artistic freedom and independence.

The video for ‘L.O.U.D.’ was shot in Tuscany in summer, when asked the band said: “The song talks about our territory and the meaning of madness, that sometime it picks you out. For our music scene in Lucca there are not spaces where you can play live music. The crazy thing is that there are a lot of venues but they have no consideration for music and bands. For this reason in the last words of the lyric we sing: ‘I drunk my dream, I drunk my dream, there was nothing to do.’”
