Say Psych: News: Fuzz Club announce further additions to festival in Eindhoven

Last month London-based label and record store Fuzz Club announced thwy will be hosting a two day festival over 24th-25th August in Eindhoven, in partnership with the prestigious Effenaar venue – the line-up already boasting the likes of The Black Angels, Holy Wave, The Underground Youth and Ron Gallo. As Fuzz Club Eindhoven 2018 draws ever-closer, the latest additions to the already ridiculously stacked line-up have now been announced.

The new additions are quite special, with the likes of Brooklyn noise-rock juggernauts A Place To Bury Strangerstranscendental French psych duo The Limiñanas and Spectrum, the post-Spacemen 3 project of drone-rock prophet Peter Kember/Sonic Boom. From Western Africa will be singer-songwriter Mdou Moctar with his dusty, meditative desert blues and if it’s hypnotic, krautrock-tainted pop you’re after then you’re in luck, with the sublime Josefin Öhrn and London’s Ulrika Spacek also joining the bill. For those with a heavier, far-out affliction there will be special sets from The Cosmic Dead, Nik Rayne of The Myrrors and Salford experimentalists Gnod (R&D) – a stripped-back take on the band comprised of co-founders Paddy Shine and Chris Haslam.

From the Fuzz Club alumni we will have Dead Rabbits, The Third Sound, You Said Strange, Black Lizard, Sekel and a special one-off reunion show from the sorely-missed Danish psych-pop troupe, The Wands.

As well as heaps of killer bands Fuzz Club will also be bringing a huge record fair at the festival with boxes upon boxes of Fuzz Club releases, distro items and special releases exclusive to the festival.

Talking of the festival, Fuzz Club founder Casper Dee explains: “A big part of what we at Fuzz Club want to do this year is take a step back from being just a label and go about celebrating the amazingly far-reaching and creative scene we find ourselves so lucky to be involved in. One of the ways we’re planning on doing that is with Fuzz Club Eindhoven 2018. We really wanted to create an event that brings together this huge international community and showcases the bands in the best possible way – and what better way than throwing a huge two-day party with heaps of our friends! It’s going to be a pretty special weekend.”
