See: beGun reveals new video for ‘Dora’

Ahead of his January 2nd appearance at XOYO in London with Booka Shade amongst others, Barcelona producer beGun, aka Gunsal Moreno has released a new video for his single Dora, which drops on December 18th via Ham House Records. Explaining the African influence behind the track, Moreno says “As with my previous releases, the song focuses on a certain territory,” Moreno says, “We haven’t explored Africa before and that made me focus the record towards the continent. Before we started working on the project we studied the sounds (spiritual music, tone patterns, traditional instruments etc), as well as the visual narrative (political conflicts, immigration, spirituality).”

The track is this flickering house electronica, blinking away and utilising African percussion which is scattered all over this slow jam of a track. He’s employed the services of Ela Minus on vocals for the track, a wie move as she dazzles with her soulful pipes all over it. Talking about the video, director and long time beGun collaborator Borja V. Conde comments “On the video we see Amma, an African girl who is starting a desperate journey towards Europe for a better life. She finds a rough reality when she arrives and is forced into a life of prostitution from which she tries to escape.”
