See: Buffalo Tom announce new video for RSD release ‘ The Only Living Boy in New York’

Buffalo Tom have announced the release of a limited edition 7″ single for Record Store Day 2018, out on 21st April. It’s a couple of covers, one of Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘The Only Living Boy in New York’ backed by a version of The Who’s ‘The Seeker’. The former is to be found on ‘Quiet and Peace’, the bands new album, and first since 2011’s Skins. Quiet and Peace was mixed by John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth, The Hold Steady) and marks the band’s first collaboration with producer and fellow Boston alt-rock legend David Minehan, renowned ex-leader of the Neighborhoods.
Although not a drastic deviation from the original (it is after all, nigh on perfect) the band brush their slacker rock all over it, and the swooping guitar just gives it that slight air of Americana. Splitting between footage of the band performing it and imagery of New York, the band have released a new video to accompany it. Check it out, here
Buffalo Tom will be coming to the UK in December. Keep a look out for the dates.
