See: Coves release new video for “Stormy”

The adulation with which Coves debut album ‘Soft Friday’ was received last year make their soon to be released second album something that’s regarded with almost psychotic excitement (maybe thats just here). Talking about the new album, Rebekah Wood says its about “The transition between Leamington and London – how our life is now compared to then, the journey, fallouts between friends, the growth you have in life. We were on a rollercoaster of living the life of professional touring musicians and then going back to the day job.”

Luckily, there’s a new single, Stormy, to tide us over – out on December 18th. It’s packed full of melody, attitude “see nothing but thunder in my stormy eyes” sighs Wood repeatedly over the chorus, bookended by this fabulously fuzzy guitar line. Its full of scuzz, echo and frayed edges as these trashy drums and layers of guitars wobble between indie rock and shoegaze. One thing is for certain – our excitement has just about reached boiling point.
