See: Moonlandingz reveal video for Black Hanz, plus UK tour and album news

Ahead of their debut album, ‘Interplanetary Class Classics’, which drops on 24th March 2017 on Transgressive Records, Moonlandingz have released a video for their track Black Hanz, and announced details of a UK tour next spring.

The band, who first as a fictional band from a fictional town featured on the Eccentronic Research Council’s 2015 concept album Johnny Rocket, Narcissist And Music Machine… I’m Your Biggest Fan. Now, The Moonlandingz – featuring members of Fat White Family alongside the Eccentric Research Council are very much a real thing, and have managed to bring in a host of guests on the album, including Randy Jones, the Cowboy from The Village People, Rebecca Taylor from Slow Club, drummer Ross Orton, bassist Mairead O’Connor, Phil Oakey and (deep breath) YOKO ONO, who sings and yowls on album closer This Cities Undone.

Black Hanz is this motorik, synth heavy slice of left field / glam pop. Full of sour sounding chords and left turns which second guess the listener, it ebbs and flows, with spokn word, wig outs, weird guitar parts and a dab of pure pop on the chorus. As for the video, it was shot in Sheffield and directed by musician Charlotte Kemp Muhl (of The GOASTT), who also directed 2015 video for The Moonlandingz “Sweet Saturn Mine (Sean Lennon De-Mix)”.

The bands Adrian Flanagan says: “I wanted to make a video that kind of surreally highlighted these hideous Brexit times we are living in, this kind of intolerance that people have towards people who might be a little different, or not the same as them. It’s like the 70’s again, we can’t walk 500 yards down the street without some fucker saying some smart-arse comment or spitting or wanting to attack us. Simultaneously, the governments ignoring the so-called lower working class is probably why we are in this mess that we are in today. Still, we should not tolerate intolerance of any kind. We should stamp it out with big glam rock stack heeled boots and slap some salami on their eye balls!!”

Both visuals and song are irresistable. Check it out, here
