News: Nick Mulvey announces new Uk Tour Dates for March 2015

I’d say me and Nick Mulvey know each other well, but thats not quite true. Me and Nick Mulveys debut album First Mind know each other very well indeed. We’ve travelled to work together an awful lot since its release (much) earlier in the year.

Its a year thats gone particularly well for Mulvey, the former hang player in Portico Quintet. For its not only me losing myself in the car (not literally you understand, I’ve been to work loads of times) during everyday journeys, its loads of people (a top ten selling album amount of people, no less) that have dived into the consistent loveliness of his acoustic-ish, world music inspired-ish beautiful collection of songs. Those loads of people clearly included the judges for the Mercury Music Prize, who last week added it to the shortlist for the album of the year. Quite right too.

You might struggle to get into his October dates, given that there nearly all sold out (unless you live right here in Sheffield by the looks of it), so luckily he’s announced a handful of new dates for next March, starting out at Manchester’s Albert Hall, and concluding at London’s Roundhouse. Tickets are on sale now, with the prices (for the March dates) £15, unless you live in London where they’re £17.50
