See: Tycho reveals new video for Pink & Blue, plus new album news

Following on from their Grammy nominated album Epoch, San Francisco’s Tycho have announced their new album ‘Weather’ is out on July 12th via the ever brilliant Ninja Tune. The electronic soundscapes are still there, but now they’ve introduced vocals into the mix. On new single ‘Pink & Blue’, Hannah Cottrell aka Saint Sinner takes the lead.

Of the track, Cottrell says “The lines, ‘Oh, pink and blue, you know I look good on you’, originally stemmed from when I was romantically involved with a man and a woman simultaneously, for the first time in my life.” she explains. “It was a defining moment for me. I went from being a young religious kid who thought she would marry a man to a young woman who realised her love for women.  Pink & Blue’ is a love song to no one, to everyone, and to myself. It’s a sweet reminder to all lovers to hold onto their love with open arms; to be fearless about any type of love and to be fearless about losing their love. Love is never lost.”

It’s this effervescent electro track, all sweeping synths, heavy (and slightly wonky) basslines and over the top, Saint Sinners warm, semi whispered vocal just ripples over the top of the electro banger. Check out the Chloe Corner directed visuals below.
