Track: Acid Dad – 2Ci

NYC psych freaks Acid Dad have followed up 2016’s Let’s Plan A Robbery EP and last month’s Die Hard 7″ with their debut self titled album, which drops on March 9th via Greenway Records. From it, the band have released lead single 2Ci, and although granted its only the 10th January, I reckon it might be the best thing we’ve heard so far in 2018.

It’s chiming, engaging psych music, with more than a hint of The Stone Roses at their very wigged out, but the band have managed to make the track sound familiar and classic, while also making something quite new. Its a mixture of swirling accompaniment, memorable riffs and trippy vocals. And its fantastic.

Acid Dad has previously shared stages with bands like and they’ll head out on a US tour next month in support of the new release, stopping at Savannah Stopover and SXSW in March. Someone get this band across to the UK quickly.
