Track: Frankie Cosmos – Jesse

Frankie Cosmos

Out via legendary Sub Pop label on March 30th is Vessels, the new album from NYC quartet Frankie Cosmos. From it, the band have released a single, Jessie, in which bandleader Greta Kline works through feelings of worth, being out of place and trying to be more in touch with herself.

The track aches and bulges with ths slight melancholy, with Kline’s vocal affecting while seemingly slightly aloof. It’s winds around, smudged by little synth lines, but the immediacy of the melody is the thing that really grabs you, anqd it doesn’t let go.
