Track: MC Paul Barman – (((echo chamber))) feat. Open Mike Eagle

What is it to be a rappers rapper? To be a person who your contemporaries look up to? Well, MC Paul Barman could quite easily be the person to answer that. Since Prince Paul introduced him to the masses with ‘It’s very stimulating’, he’s been turning heads in the world of hip-hop. Masta Ace used him in on the ‘Disposable Arts’ album while behind the scenes he’s been cementing himself a place as one of the foremost and intricate rhyme writers of his generation.

He has a new album out via the Mello Group. Called (((echo chamber))), it features six tracks produced by ?uestlove, two by MF DOOM, five from Memory Man, plus contributions from Prince Paul, Kenny Segal, and Mark Ronson.  Add to that a pair of features from Open Mike Eagle and then put the icing on with one of the greatest songs of 2018 featuring Masta Ace and you have (((echo chamber))).

He’s revealed the title track from the record, one of the ?uestlove produced tracks, featuring Open Mike Eagle, and its a laid back joint full of woozy guitar chords and stripped back percussion. Over the top both men lay down some incredible rhymes, Barman almost leaving things so late that they drop across the bar. He’s that good.
