Track: Meat Wave – Shame / Dogs At Night, plus European Tour Dates

On the back of their new album, the Incessant, Chicago indie punks Meat Wave have released a single Shame / Dogs at Night, both new non-album tracks which were recorded during the album sessions with legendary Chicago Engineer Steve Albini. Dogs at night previously appeared as part of last years Our First 100 Days Project, but Shame his seeing the light of day for the first time.

Both tracks have a sense of this mish mash of punk and indie, with spidery. almost Television like guitars, attitude filled vocals and this sense of the almost ramshackle togetherness about them, all on the same journey, but they’re making it up as they go. Shame clocks in at just over the minute, but has enough energy for a 5 minute opus, whereas Dogs at Night sees ideas developed further, but the ethos remains the same.
