Track: San Fermin – Open

San Fermin, the Brooklyn baroque pop band, are back right after a year on hiatus – a fruitful time for some members of the band that were able to put out their own albums. The comeback took place with the release of their newest single “Open”, taken from their third album Belong, due to Spring of this year.

The song brings the usual eletronic details, seen on their last album, Jackrabbit, but this time in a smoother and calmer atmosphere, focusing on the beautiful interpretation of Charlene Kaye on the vocals and the detailed intrumental backgroung which grows and takes a strong shape at the end of the song. “Open” might be just a hint of their next album Belong, but it brings their trademark complexity, although maybe a little bit more accessible than what came before.
