Track: The Mu-Tones – Slab City Records

North West trio The Mu-Tones are to release their debut single ‘Slab City Records’ on June 30th through Ugly Man Records and is an ode to a forgotten area of the US “Its an area in America not even on the map, run by solar power, apparently they have gigs on there, it’s something I’d love to do.” says the bands Anthony Grantham “Also it DOES sound like the sort of thing you’d hear Lux Interior saying, which is kind of what the second verse is about.”

Former Marion guitarist/songwriter Marion is joined by Alex Redhead (bass) formerly of Amplifier and Peter Gray (drums) who used to play with Letters to Fiesta, and they set out to make short, noisey garage rock songs.  Slab City Records fits right into that, with this growling bassline and slashy guitar riffs, and its blasts its way though three minutes of adrenalin-fuelled garage rock.
