Win: Two Tickets for Gogo Penguin at London Village Underground 25.2.16

We’ve been big fans of Manchester jazz trio Gogo Penguin for about as long as we can remember. The three piece, pianist Chris Illingworth, bassist Nick Blacka and drummer Rob Turner drew on not only the jazz heritage, but broader influences such as Brian Eno, John Cage, Massive Attack and Aphex Twin to make something thats, at its root Jazz, but richa and varied and exciting. It resulted in their album V2.0 being nominated for a mercury music prize in 2014, and they’ve moved to the doyen of all jazz labels, Blue Note, for the follow up Man Made Object, which comes out on February 5th next year.

The brilliant people over at Soundcrash have kindly given us a pair of tickets for their just announced show at Londons cultural hub, Village Underground on February 25th, 2016. Information and tickets here
