Donovan Keith Shares Bopping New Single ‘Let Me Loose’ Taken From New Album

Soulful and funking, the bopping new single from Donovan Keith is a resurgence of the funk-laden guitar lines and sax riffs that have made a resurgence love the last few years.

Full of upbeat joy, the track is music comparable to ‘Let’s Dance’ era of Bowie with a smattering of Earth Wind and Fire for good measure. Keith’s vocal is instantly comparable to that of John Newman, offering the same husky delivery packed with subtle emotions and loads of energy. This is the sound of an artist who I’m sure would have a live crowd bouncing from start to finish!

Donovan shares: “Let Me Loose is an Al Green inspired tune that expresses the difficulty of still being attracted to someone you know isn’t good for you. Sometimes those endings can be rocky or you’re on and off because you can’t stop overwhelming attraction despite knowing it can’t or won’t last.”

Taken from the new album ‘Hot off the Wire’, a collection of tracks full of funktastic energy, Donovan Keith has demonstrated a brilliant summer vibe that is a joy to listen to.
