Live Review: Nebula / The Atomic Bitchwax – The Grand Social, Dublin 25.07.2022

Stoner Rock / Psychedelic Rock filled the main venue of The Grand Social Dublin as Nebula ( Los Angeles) and The Atomic Bitchwax (New Jersey) played a double header.
Things were delayed for maybe half an hour as one of the bands were held up as Irish customs and arrived to venue later then excepted.
But hey once things got going this was all forgotten as we were bombarded with a wall of fuzzy riffs and heavy metal from both bands.

Opening the night fall upon The Atomic Bitchwax playing a 14 song set of high octane loud and fast two minute songs and telling us that it was oddly true that when they played their first tour 22 years ago it happened to be opening for Nebula and here we are again doing it and its our first time in Dublin, after get the crowd to move forward the froth rows saw a lot of air guitars and heads banging. Dam those guys were loud!

Next up and with no sound check the guys from Nebula just got straight into things, a couple of songs in drummer Michael Amster broke a snare, but this didn’t hold up anything as he had a replacement at his feet, guessing its a regular occurrence then!. back on track we got a hour and 15 minutes of Stoner Rock filled with fuzzy riffs and the crowd loving every minute of it. Unfortunately there was no set list. The guys didn’t do much speaking I’m putting this down to the delay and wanting to play their full set, they played one song as an encore and were about to play another but house lights went up as time had beating things, but this didn’t damping any spirits because like The Atomic Bitch Wax, Nebula played a blinder!
