Track: Congo Natty – Revolution in Dub (DJ Madd Remix)

Out on November 13th via the legendary Big Dada label is Jungle Revolution in Dub, a rework of Congo Natty’s 2013 Jungle Revolution album. He’s enlisted the help of the great and the good of Dub, both from the Uk and beyond, including Adrian Sherwood alongside Mungos HiFi, Conscious Sounds, Vibronics, Jinx in Dub, King Yoof and Hylu & Jago and others, along with a new generation – literally, in the shape of Mad Professors son (Joe Ariwa) and Jah Shaka’s son, Young Warrior.

Ahead of it, Natty has released Revolution in Dub – reworked by Hungarian producer DJ Madd. It retains its powerful message, that of oppression towards black people, including by the police, but its given a heavy dub slant, wiry electronics firing in the background as pulsates with its scattering drums, and this floor rumbling bassline. It ebbs and flows as the bass drops out and then leaks back in, and its decorated liberally with these sweet backing vocals.

Sounds essential. Check out the video, here
