Track: D.I.D – Hotel

D.I.D, formerly known as Dog Is Dead, have returned with a brand new single to remind us that they’re still making music and that they shouldn’t be forgotten about just yet. The Nottingham boys have been fairly quiet since their début album, All Our Favourite Stories, which got them noticed far and wide when it was released October 2012. Two years have passed since then and it’s about time we heard something new.

This brings us to ‘Hotel’, a new song that kicks up the attitude and brings in heavier rhythms to grab your attention. D.I.D have perfected their vocal harmonies, complementing the heavy bass that forms the heartbeat of the four minute endeavour. This song is dark and powerful; the boys have grown up into confident young men who want to show us what they’re capable of.

You can still feel Dog Is Dead’s beginnings if you concentrate hard enough but D.I.D have regenerated into something stronger and unforgiving. ‘Hotel’ left me with one thought: I want to hear more.
