See: Australian quartet Immigrant Union release new video for ‘In Time’

Australian quartet Immigrant Union (featuring Brent DeBoer from the Dandy Warhols) are back with a new single, “In Time”, taken from their sophomore release ‘Anyway’, which drops on May 29th. Describing their sound as being “Spiritualized being baptised in a river of Creedence Clearwater,” By frontman DeBoer, the band recorded the album with producer Gregg Williams (Sheryl Crow, The Dandy Warhols, Blitzen Trapper).

In time opens like some sand covered backwash of america, infused with banjos and harmonicas. It gently rocks along, nodding its (6-gallon) hat towards The Byrds and the like as it goes. Little broken chords drip off the ear, as the harmonica joins things together between here psych filled verses.

Check out the video, an ode to festival season, filmed at Soundwave Festival. Guitarist Bob Harrow explains: “I’ve been to festivals on my own before, and they have generally turned out to be the coolest ones.” He recently described the way the video came about “Brent shot and directed this clip featuring me going to Soundwave festival in Melbourne. He filmed it using stop animation, so for the entire shoot I had to move in slow motion. I remember people looking at me and probably thinking ‘I’ll have what he’s having, thank you’. Whenever I would interact directly with people, I’d explain whilst being filmed, “We are shooting a music video and I have to move in slow motion, so you got to do that too – can you light my ciggie, nice and super slowly, please?”
