Track: Laura Welsh – Cold Front (Panda Dub Remix)

Although my children are growing up (too fast, I think sometimes) I like it how there’s something magical about a rainbow still. Even for someone as cynical (read, fairly old) as me, I still sort of daydream about coming across the gold at the end of it. It’s always a good talking point to temporarily stop the arguments in the back of the car, to see one, and initiate debate about which direction the Rainbow might be in, and what we might spend the gold on (my daughter a DS, and my son every single power rangers outfit – and a real Light Saber, on last count) before returning to everything in their power to wind the other one up.

We’ve written about Laura Welsh before. The London singer-songwriter releases her latest track Cold Front on July 15h through Polydor/Outsiders, and its smart, err…cool (sorry) pop music, which highlights her beautifully Icy vocal. Lyon’s Panda Dub has worked his magic on the track, using the cold beauty of the track and turning into this Summer dance track, all warm and sweaty and impossible not to dance to.

It’s this mix of the cold and the warm that makes this a sort of rainbow track really. Except that the gold is at the end of the headphones, and everyone can find it.
