Hailing from Australia, Benedict is a female singer-songwriter with an alt-indie edge to her work, which focuses on heartbreak, love and social observation in her tracks.
With her own vocal styling, the singer struggled to find her niche and flow, this all changed when she took a job as a prison guard in Melbourne. A mentally challenging job, Benedict would witness those without the facility for rehabilitation. These first hand experiences have since forged into her writing.
Coupled with the inspiration of Kate Bush, David Bowie and the falsetto reminiscent of Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters; what sets out about new single ‘Warzone’ is the pulsating melody married with socially aware lyrics that harks to the worst of experiences with a deep understanding of how different relationships have an effect on the individual.
