BLUE NOTE, the jazz imprint absolutely without parallel since 1939, has announced a new series of vinyl-only remasters and reissues to run from December into the middle part of 2021.

Sixteen titles, all all-time classics of the jazz world, are up for inclusion so far in the Blue Note Classic Vinyl Reissue Series – a continuation of the Blue Note 80 Vinyl Reissue Series that began in 2019.

The new series will again feature strickly analogue remasters directly from the original tapes, and heavyweight 180-gramme pressings.

The series kicks off on December 4th with Lee Morgan’s trumpet odyssey The Sidewinder, and the cool of McCoy Tyner’s The Real McCoy; they’re available for pre-order now.

The next 14 in the series will be released in pairs once a month, with releases already set until next summer. They are as follows:

January 15th, 2021: Horace Silver’s Song for My Father and Wayne Shorter’s Speak No Evil;

February 12th: Cannonball Adderley’s Somethin’ Else and Joe Henderson’s Page One;

March 12th: Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers’ Moanin’ and Hank Mobley’s Soul Station;
