NEWS: Floodlights to live stream a Rough Trade session tonight

MELBOURNE’S Floodlights, the next wave of great Australian indie guitar bands who’ve just released their debut album, From A View, via the joint offices of Woo Me! and Spunk Records, will be appearing in a live stream session for Rough Trade tonight, Wednesday, September 9th, at 6pm British Summer Time.

If they’re a new name to you and if Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever press the correct Antipodean six-string buttons, then this is a band you really should check out; imagine, if you will, Rolling Blackouts with a rawer, more new wave and politically articulate edge; a way with a tune that’ll please you if you adored The Chills in their first phase.

We reviewed the album here and noted it was “raw, impassioned and filled with the politics of the continent and the heart.”
