It’s been a month since Dubliner David Balfe’s remarkable debut album as For Those I Love was unleashed upon the world to critical acclaim. We absolutely loved it and are happy to see that Balfe is taking the self-titled record on a UK tour; at the start of October, he plays his first gig ever at a sold-out Olympia Theatre in Dublin, before it’s on to Glasgow, London, Bristol and Manchester for six further shows, at which you can expect to hear material from both his debut and its supplementary mixtape, Into a World That Doesn’t Understand It, Unless You’re From It, released last year.

To coincide with this, Balfe has released Holy Trinity, a 17-minute live film featuring performances of ‘I Have a Love’, ‘The Myth / I Don’t’ & ‘You Live / No One Like You’ – shot at Shelbourne F.C.’s home turf of Tolka Park in Drumcondra, Dublin, and directed by Hugh Mulhern, who’s also worked with Fontaines D.C. and Inhaler. It’s a remarkable, intense watch that bodes extremely well for the upcoming live dates. One London date is also sold out with a third added this morning – don’t hang around for the rest.

October 17th – Audio, Glasgow
October 19th – Courtyard Theatre, London
October 20th – Courtyard Theatre, London
October 21st – Courtyard Theatre, London (sold out)
October 23rd – Louisiana, Bristol
October 24th – Deaf Institute, Manchester
