My introduction to Jack White was nearly two decades ago now, when my grandparents introduced me to The White Stripes. His music took a while to grow on me, and only in my adult years have I grown to fully appreciate his mastermind touch to all the art he creates. A true pioneer of garage rock revival.

Jack White has just premiered a visually hypnotising video for his thunderous new single ‘Taking Me Back’ – a taster of not one, but TWO, upcoming full-length albums. ‘Fear Of The Dawn’, due April 8, 2022; and ‘Entering Heaven Alive, due July 22, 2022, will be his first long play releases in over four years.

‘Taking Me Back’ is an explosion of high-octane fuzz, well and truly on brand for the multi-instrumentalist, capable of creating a vast soundscape from any tools you give him. It’s everything you could ask for from the seasoned veteran: complex instrumentation, attention to detail, and imaginative riffs ready to transport you one-way into his mind-altering, artistic world.

Jack White’s list of achievements is fascinating and well warranted given the career he has had, with twelve Grammy awards under his belt, along with a slew of #1 songs and albums to say the least. And with the arrival of new music, it’s nothing but exciting news for fans of his that span generations.
