KEG have announced their new EP Girders set for release 2 September on Alcopop! Records/BMG. The 7-piece from Bridlington, Yorkshire have also released their frenzied and whip-smart new single ‘Kidswith accompanying new video And in a packed news day for the band, they have confirmed their debut UK headline tour plus festivals which include Green Man, End Of The Road, Latitude, The Great Escape and more (full dates below).

KEGs debut single ‘Heyshaw‘ was released in the summer of 2021 and since then they having generating plenty of interest. ‘Kids’ is planted firmly in British art-punk songwriting that is both self-referencing and outward-facing. The band manage to take aim at both the restaurant chain Itsu and the comedian Michael McIntyre in one song and the video demonstrates their infectious sense of fun with the band having a genuine joie de vivre.

On ‘Kids‘, KEG say:
I’ve always had a great relationship with my mum, but there were occasional times where I remember her saying ‘I love you loads, I just don’t like you very much at the moment’. What if your kids grew up the complete opposite of you? What if they like Michael Mcintyre and will only eat health foods?
