News: Reading and Leeds Festival Announce Final Co-Headliners

Leeds Festival announced its final two headliners this week!

This year the Reading and Leeds Festivals will have no less than FIVE headliners across the three days; wherein there are co-headliners on two of the days, and they take turns topping the bill at either Reading or Leeds.

So, joining this bill as the Friday headliners for Leeds are none other than alt-rock titans Fall Out Boy, and Kilmarnock’s very own Biffy Clyro making their triumphant return to the UK’s festival circuit, last headlining Leeds Festival in 2013.

Fall Out Boy had some things to say regarding their co-headline spot at the festivals, “It’s pretty surreal to hear we are going to be co-headlining Reading and Leeds. R&L was our first real festival experience outside of the U.S. This is it, the big one for us and we are excited to be a part of it.”

Biffy Clyro also commented, “We’re baaaaack!! We are honoured to be asked to close Reading and Leeds this summer. We had one of the best nights of our lives last time and we’re going to do all we can to make it even bigger and better in 2016. You ain’t seen nothing yet motherfuckers!!”

Also added to the line-up are Chvrches, A$AP Rocky, Haim and Five Finger Death Punch. As well as this, there have also been many rock acts announced for Radio 1’s Lock-Up stage. These include: Asking Alexandria, the Dillinger Escape Plan, FVK, Kvelertak and Dead!.

The updated poster is below, but all of these join the likes of exclusive Sunday headliners Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Saturday Co-headliners Foals and Disclosure, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, The 1975 and Two Door Cinema Club.

Summing things up perfectly, festival organiser Melvin Benn added, “This year really is a big one for Reading and Leeds. Five headliners across three days – it’s a first for us and the UK Festival scene. We’re always looking to give Reading and Leeds fans something new and this year isn’t going to disappoint. Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy are going to be incredible.”

Tickets are on sale now.
