News: The legendary The Church announce resumption of normal services, with US tour announcement.

The magnificent The Church have announced the resumption of normal services with the announcement of new dates for a US tour. Originally set to celebrate 40 years of music in 2020 and inevitably postponed due to – well, you know what – the band has set new dates on the brink of the release of a new album.

The Church will play a run of west coast dates leading into their performance at Cruel World Fest alongside an unbelievable lineup of contemporaries including Blondie, Devo, Echo & The Bunnymen, and Psychedelic Furs.

This off the back of year of intensive creativity for Steve Kilbey, receiving accolades for a number of stunning releases last year (see our list of top releases for 2021 both in Australia and globally).

Kilbey acknowledges the importance of the US to the band:

American audiences have always been extremely important to the Church after 40 years of touring.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday, 21 January 2022  here and details are below. The tour will be preceded by a couple of Australian shows – full details here.

Previous Track: WA's Pretty Uglys release the kaleidoscopic 'Situation City' and announce tour.
Next Album Review: Emily Barker and Lukas Drinkwater release the shining new covers album 'Room 822' and announce Emily Barker tour dates
