Manchester 4-piece Witch Fever have announced their debut album Congregation which will be available on 21 October via Music For Nations. In support of the album they have released the title track and this week will open for My Chemical Romance at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes. Witch Fever were formed in Manchester 2017, emerging from the city’s close-knit alternative music scene. Previous singles have included ‘In the Resurrect‘, ‘Blessed Be Thy‘ and ‘Reincarnate‘ and demonstrates the power and force of nature that sits at the very core of this band.
On the single ‘Congregation‘ singer Amy Walpole says:
“This is Alisha’s (Yarwood, guitarist) personal fave! It marks a new step in our development as songwriters as it’s something different from what we’ve done before. We allowed ourselves to experiment with space and dynamics and we love it!”
Looking forward to their debut album, Congregation sees the 4 piece at their heaviest and most challenging yet. It is produced by Pigs x7’s Sam Grant at Blank Studios in Newcastle and the album’s 13-tracks incorporate everything from sludge to new wave without lingering in one sound for too long which will further demonstrate the versality of Witch Fever and no doubt see them continue their rise. October seems a long way away right now but I have absolutely no doubt it will be worth the wait. In the meantime there are nermous opportunities to see the band live – Highly Recommended.
