News: Working Men’s Club Release Second Single, Announce Tour

Following their support slots with The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Fat White Family, Yorkshire teenage new wave revivalists Working Men’s Club have released their second single and announced extensive touring plans. The band, who claim Suicide as an influence, have signed to Heavenly and followed up debut 7″ ‘Bad Blood’ with ‘Teeth’ as their first single for their new label.

The song sounds like something you’d hear in a Lower East Side nightclub circa 1980 and is accompanied by a video that contrasts archive footage of Reagan-era stockbrokers with contemporary images of a man undergoing severe stress. Frontman Sydney Minsky-Sargeant calls the song “a metaphor”, though he declines to specify what for. You can check out the video here.

Working Men’s Club have also announced plans to tour the UK as support to Brooklyn post-punks Bodega in August before embarking upon their first ever headline tour of the country in October and November. Dates are below.
