Premiere: Andrew Adkins releases new single, ‘Save The Day’

NASHVILLE songwriter Andrew Adkins is releasing a new single today, “Save The Day”, ahead of the November release of his album The Echoist; and we’re delighted to premiere the single here today on Backseat Mafia.

Inspired by the current state of his country (and the world), Andrew says of the track: “‘Save The Day’ is inspired by the current state of the US; a pandemic, global warming, civil unrest, protests, and the political climate leading up to one of the most important presidential elections in history.”

The track is this anthemic slice of indie rock, with just a hint of the Nashville about it, as Adkins vocal crawls roughly over this monster melody that grabs a hold of you. Underneath there’s sweeping guitars and a popping bassline, joined by a little bit of the gospel in the backing vocals. It’s immediate and unforgettable.

Check out the emotionally charged accompanying video and the track, below; The Echoist will be available on November 13th on all streaming platforms.
