Premiere: I Ya Toyah releases new single, Out Of Order

I Ya Toyah

Polish born, USA based industrial goth artist I Ya Toyah (which means it’s just me in Polish) today releases her new single, Out of Order. It’s taken from her sophomore EP of the same name (out March 26th on Bandcamp, June 18th on streaming services) and we’re delighted to be able to premiere it right here today on Backseat Mafia.

Of the track, she says “I couldn’t hold back, I gave it all. All my pandemic moods processed through my brain and ended up here to explode, both sonically and visually. I wrote it feeling these emotions and being unable to share them as we all used to- through the togetherness, a hug, and live music experience,” says I Ya Toyah, before continuing, “In the future, the pandemic will be over, but the need for this connection will remain. I hope this song will be a reminder of how we survived this dark time, and how fragile yet strong we all are- even when we are out of order.”

Out of Order is dark, dystopian pop music, submerged beats and intertwining synths weave their icy paths around I Ya Toyahs warm, expressive vocal to create something thats cold, disturbing even, but yet melodic and memorable.
