Premiere: Lia Hide Shares Video For Moody New Single ‘Uterus Will’

Taken from the recently released album ‘The Missing Fourth Guest’, Lia Hide shares the video for her new single ‘Uterus Will’ and we’re excited to be running the premiere!

Moody, experimental and multifaceted, ‘Uterus Will’ brings together elements of pop, jazz and electronica in a striking and bold trip-hop soundscape. The Greek artist’s soft and evocative spoken-word vocals are at once entrancing and have you hanging off every word as the shuffling, atmospheric backing swells around her, reinforcing this track as a bold statement.

Comparable to the likes of Radiohead and Portishead, Lia’s use of dappled synth, guitar and piano lines are beautiful, a cacophony of sound that is as cinematic as it is emotive before being topped off with a brilliant trumpet solo.

Speaking about ‘Uterus Will’ Lia describes the track as: “A spoken word narrative, weaved in a soliloquy. Lover to lover, random thoughts on death, loss and life. A woman who has yet to be a mother. A daughter who lost her father-in-law. Cars driving fast and halting abruptly in the illuminated night streams. Lego bricks and the fear of dementia. An electro-pop dark song, reminiscent of 80s Anne Clark, dressed up with jazzy bass and trumpet solos and wrapped up in a Tori Amos fragile ending.”

Accompanied by a simplistic yet affecting visual which matches the track’s message and tone, ‘Uterus Will’ is out now via Conch Town Records.
