Premiere: Madman State releases new acoustic video for Believe it Now

Following in the footsteps of its release, London based rapper Madman State has released a new acoustic video of the track that we’re absolutely delighted to premiere right here on Backseat Mafia.

Already receiving support from BRBradio.co.uk, DJ Shorty Of Chip Shop Radio and Reprezent Radio, Madman state decided to go out and strip the track right down. Explaining this, he told us ‘It was really cool breaking this song down acoustically alongside Anousha. It gave the song a completely different feel and vibe, definitely something I will be doing more of! It was extra special because I had the pleasure of enlisting the guitarist Jo Cocco, who has played alongside notable Artists such as Anderson Paakand Alicai Harley etc.. a multi talented guy indeed. And also the session was captured by Temple visuals who has done video work for playstation and other notable clients’.

‘It’s been really exciting releasing ‘Believe it now’ and especially in the run up to the musicvideo dropping. It marks my first official campaign release for a song, and it feels really amazing unveiling my craft to the world after years of hard work. It feels like the right time also as I feel like never before has my sound been more polished and fine-tuned, which reflectsin everything from the song, to the video and the social media content etc..’

The guitar backing from Jo Cocco gives the whole thing a rather lovely earthy quality, as funky as it it, while Anousha’s vocal contributions are steeped in soul and R&B. Madman Slate is without doubt the star of the show though, laying down his rhymes with skill and an enviable flow.
