Premiere: Tanzos releases new visuals for ‘Birdy’

Austrian Indie rocker Mik Tanzos trades under his surname, and recently released a new single ‘Birdy’ – the follow up to his debut track ‘How Do You Want Me?’. We’re delighted to premiere the accompanying visuals right here on Backseat Mafia today.

Of the track, Tanzos says “Birdy tells the story of a couple´s life design falling apart after compromising for too long. Naturally the song has a melancholic tone, but it is not desperate. Conciliation beats the bitterness.”

with sweeping synths and this beautifully aloof sounding guitar riff, Birdy has this affecting melancholy about it, it’s bittersweet melodies aimed firmly at your heartstrings, as Tanzos details a relationship at breaking point.

The accompanying visuals see Tanzos driving down the Austrian motorways – a metaphor perhaps for both moving on and things coming to a head, the final ride and dialogue.
