Rosie Alena & Morgan Simpson (Black Midi) share cover in support of the Music Venue Trust

TWO OF the country’s most talented artists being Rosie Alena and Morgan Simpson of black midi have teamed up and shared a wonderful cover of The Carpenters’ “We’ve Only Just Begun”, In support of the charity, the Music Venue Trust.

A song described by the pair as close to their hearts, Rosie Alena’s and Morgan Simpson’s rendition of ‘We’ve Only Just Begun’ is otherworldly and aims to raise funds for Music Venue Trust and their #saveourvenues campaign, to ensure the survival of venues across the U.K during the Covid-19 pandemic which has seen multiple venues being close to shutting their doors forever.

In regard to the track itself, Rosie’s spine-tingling vocals grace the three-minute stunner that also features Geordie Greep, also of noise-merchants black midi on guitar, lap steel and accordion. What results is a re-work of the classic into a country-folk fantasy showcasing the epic talents of the collective; something evident as seen before with the likes of Rosie Alena’s debut offering ‘Mixed Messages’ – which saw the talented motley come together for the sensationail single.

If you’re after some wholesome dreamy sounds for your day, then get involved and help out to ensure that when this is all said and done, we can see the likes of Rose Alena and black midi grace our illustrious venues once again.
