Say Psych: News: Fuzz Club Announce First Bands for 2020 Festival

This August Fuzz Club will return to Eindhoven’s Effenaar venue for the third edition of their two-day festival in the Dutch city and are today announcing the first five names on the bill. This time around the label–a curator of some of the finest international fuzz, reverb and drone–will also be teaming up with London promoters Bad Vibrations. Fuzz Club 2020 will take place August 28-29, with a warm-up show at DIY space Stroomhuis on the 27th.

With weighty expectations on their shoulders due to the success’ of the previous years, this announcement is hotly anticipated and does not disappoint.

Among the first names announced for the festival are cult Bristol outfit The Heads, who will make a rare appearance with the pulverising psychedelic rock that’s been a speaker-shredding staple of the European underground since they formed back in 1990. And, after appearing at the 2018 festival as Spectrum, Peter Kember of legendary drone-rockers Spacemen 3 is also set to return under the Sonic Boom moniker, the outlet for his more electronics-focussed experimentations.

Joining them will be the doomy Sabbathian metal of Newcastle heavyweights Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs. They’ll appear off the back of their incoming third full-length Viscerals which is due for release in April and follows their critically acclaimed King of Cowards LP. Also announced for the festival is the breakneck Krautrock of US trio Verstärker and German outfit Acid Rooster.

With this as a start, we can only wait with baited breathe for what is to follow.
