See: Bethlehem Casuals release new video for The Oke

Oddball is a word that follows Manchesters psychedelic jazz-pop collective around, and with the release of a new video to accompany their recent single The Oke, the band are doing very little to dispel it.

It’s this sumptiously orchestrated chamber pop/jazz at its outset, chiming percussion accompanying the saxophone and cello lines. At once though it blossoms into this wonky jazz funk workout, with this sort of post-punk vocal over the top ofthe verses blending together the sour and the sweet, before falling into something much more straightforward and memorable in the chorus. It does have this immediacy about it though that means it deserves (and in our case gets) repeated plays.

Check out their typically strange and unfathomable video (we wouldn’t want it any other way), here

It’s taken from their forthcoming album The Tragedy of Street Dog, out on April 17th.
